PAYING GUEST

As almost all hunting land is already accounted for, there are few opportunities to lease shooting rights in Portugal. However, we have the pleasure to announce to all the hunters interested to hunt in Portugal, the popular option to come hunting as a "paying guest".

Please feel free to ask for a quotation for the season 2008/2009. If you have any questions do not hesitate.

GAME

Please find below the following types of game that can be hunted in our area.

We have a wide variaty of small game that can be hunted on our grounds, but we will focus in our offer as first target - the Red-legged Partridge - followed by Rabbit and Hare.

Red-legged Partridge (Alectoris Rufa):
Iberia (where Portugal and Spain are both included) is know worldwide for the unsurpassed Partridges hunts it provides. Depending to the demande of the hunters, the hunt can be organized as a walk-up, drive or maybe combined with other species like hare and rabbit. However we may suggest to you the walk-up with dogs as the most exciting, fair and difficult game modality.

If you decide to bring your own dog we could transport and install it during your stay with our organization.

The season for shotting Partridge is September till the end of January.

Rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus):
We could offer dedicated hunt days to Rabbit (walk-up and/or drive) or combinated with Partriges and Hare.

The season for shotting Rabbit is early September till the 31st December.

Hare (Lepus europaeus):
Always combinated with Rabbit and Partridges.

The season for shotting Hare is early September till 31st December.

HUNTING GROUNDS

We work on a daily basis to create an ideal hunting environment for us and our guest hunters that guarantees successful hunting time.

As said before, we are the owners and managers of the hunting grounds we offer you. So apart from costs such as flights, accommodation, food and drink you only pay for what you shoot. All free of comissions. Plus these are local prices, not tourist rates.
We can offer you unforgettable hunting days!

For those who do not want to bring there own gun to Portugal we have a solution. As long as you bring your firearm certificate/license we can lend you one of ours.

In total we have around 4000 Hectares of privately owned hunting grounds. All are accessible by 4x4 cars and off course on foot. So even the less mobile hunter can make full use of all our hunting grounds and facilities.

ABOUT US

Hunting in Portugal
"Created by nature, loved by man"

We offer hunting trips to the beautiful hunting grounds of Portugal. The uninterrupted natural beauty and stunning hunting possibilities make for an unforgettable experience.

Hunting in Portugal is a RUSTICAÇA project. RUSTICAÇA is a family owned company whose name means "country and hunt" and our focus is to provide arragements between landowners who can lease the hunting rights to us and ensure viable hunting.

The diverse and professionally managed hunting grounds we rent and maintain are amongst the most unique in the country. We have our own hunting right and are responsible for all the hunting that takes place in it.

Somewhere in the near future, we hope to be able to offer to you the oportunity to shoot the most challenging game bird - the Red Legged Partridge (Alectoris rufa) - or to enjoy a funny hunt day to our many Rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus).

Best regards,

The Hunting in Portugal Team
